We talked of Genesis and Revelations
Of origins and endings
Skipping mostly the in between
Yet the present, seemed dependent
On the interpretation of those two
More than any other thing.
“Is that true?” and
“What can be made from it?”
Were asked unaware
Until the bubbles died down
Water turning back to ground,
Leaving no ripples about.

A control elicited from memories
Like without Love is infatuation
Both unreliable and anticipatory
Love with Like, a rare mystery
Where truth finally meets esteem
